We are pleased to share that Mr. Barton Cron will join our leadership team at Westridge!  Starting this summer, Cron will serve as an Assistant Principal at Westridge Middle School.

Mr. Cron has been the 7th-12th Grade Physical Education Teacher at Centura Public Schools for the past five years.  Throughout his time at Centura also served as the Head Coach for both the Football Team and the Strength & Conditioning program.  Prior to his time at Centura, Mr. Cron served as a Special Education Teacher at Aurora Public Schools and Kearney Public Schools.  He carries a Certificate of Education Administration and a Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. 

“I am excited to embark on this journey as the new Assistant Principal at Westridge Middle School!” Cron shared, “I am eager to collaborate with the incredible staff, empower our students and get to know the Westridge community.”

As an Assistant Principal for the Cougars, Mr. Cron will serve alongside our current leadership team, Tracy Jakubowski, Assistant Principal, and Kayla Wichman, Principal. This announcement comes on the heels of Scott Gibson, Assistant Principal, pursuing other career opportunities outside of the district. 

Mr. Cron will assume his new role this summer, and is excited to get started.
