It is important that students achieve. We agree to do the following:

Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction to enable children to meet state academic achievement standards.

Teacher

It is important that students achieve. I agree to do the following:

Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective environment to enable children to meet the challenging state academic achievement standards.
Regularly communicate with parents on their child’s progress. 
Demonstrate professional behavior and positive attitude.
Recognize students are accountable for assignments.
Participate in professional learning for teaching reading and other curricular areas.
Provide two parent/teacher conferences a year.
Discuss this compact during parent-teacher conferences and share how it relates to your child’s achievement.
Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.

Parent/Caring Adult:

I want my child to achieve; therefore I will encourage him/her by doing the following:

Communicate and work with teachers and school staff on an ongoing basis to be involved and support my child’s learning.
Make sure my child is at school every day and on time, and prepared to learn, with homework completed and returned to school (unless he/she is ill).
Provide a place and time to do schoolwork and encourage my child to complete schoolwork.
Be aware of the skills that my child is learning in each class.
Read to or with my child 10-20 minutes, 3-5 times per week.
Attend conferences and communicate frequently with my child’s teacher.
 
Student:

I know my education is important to me.  It is important that I work to the best of my ability.  I agree to do the following:

Be at school every day and on time (unless I am sick).
Come to school each day with an attitude to learn.
Respect and cooperate with other students and adults.
Pay attention to teachers and family and ask questions when I need help.
Welcome help from my family on my homework and other school assignments. 
Ask my family to read to or with me for 10-20 minutes, 3-5 times per week.
Return completed school work on time.

Maestro(a)

Es importante que los estudiantes triunfen. Yo estoy de acuerdo en hacer lo siguiente:

Proporcionar un currículo de alta calidad e instrucción en un ambiente de apoyo y efectivo para permitir a los niños(as) que puedan cumplir con los retos estándares de logro académico estatales. 
Comunicarse regularmente con los padres en el progreso de su hijo(a).. 
Demostrar comportamiento profesional y actitud positivo.
Reconocer que los estudiantes son responsables por asignaciones.
Participar en aprendizaje profesional para enseñar la lectura y otras áreas curriculares.
Proporcionar dos conferencias de padres/maestros(a) al año.
Crear un ambiente de apoyo, seguro y alentador.

Padre/Adulto Cuidadoso:

Yo quiero que mi hijo(a) triunfe; por lo tanto yo lo/la animare para hacer lo siguiente:

Comunicarse y trabajar con los maestros y personal de la escuela en un curso continuo para estar involucrado y apoyar el aprendizaje de mi hijo(a).
Asegurarme que mi hijo(a) esté en la escuela todos los días y a tiempo, y preparados para aprender, con tareas completas y regresada a la escuela (a menos que él/ella esté enfermo).
Proporcionar un lugar y horario para hacer trabajo de la escuela y animar a mi hijo(a) a terminar el trabajo de la escuela.
Estar consciente de las habilidades que mi hijo(a) está aprendiendo en cada clase.
Leerle o leer con mi hijo(a) 10-20 minutos, 3-5 veces por semana.
Asistir conferencias y comunicarse frecuentemente con el/la maestro(a) de mi hijo(a).

Venir a la escuela cada día con una actitud para aprender.
Respetar y cooperar con otros estudiantes y adultos.
Poner atención a los maestros(as) y familiares y hacer preguntas cuando necesite ayuda.
Dar bienvenida la ayuda de mi familia en mi tarea y otros trabajos de la escuela. 
Pedir a mi familia de leerles o leer conmigo por 10-20 minutos, 3-5 veces por semana.
Regresar trabajo de la escuela terminado a tiempo.
